Christmas Plans at Arden House
Christmas Plans at Arden House
I know we are not even in December yet, but we thought that we would share our plans with you for Christmas. There will obviously be lots of Christmas themed activities and entertainment throughout December, plus of course much tree decorating, paper chain making and tinsel twitching. We are also waiting to hear from the local schools to see if we can invite them in for Christmas carols and songs.
Our decorating day will be Wednesday 7th December in the morning. If anyone would like to join us to dress a tree, untangle some lights or decorate a resident’s room, please do come along from 10am. St Paul’s Church will be joining us on Tuesday 13th December for a Christmas Service in the Home at midday.
Our Christmas Party this year will follow the very successful theme of last year –residents’ lunch, family buffet and drinks, some musical entertainment and even perhaps, a visit from Father Christmas! We plan to hold this on Thursday 15th December from 1pm and would like to invite families and friends to join us.
I know it is a long way off, but if you could check your diaries and let us know if you can make it and how many please, that would help us immensely.
Then in the run up to Christmas, Henry will be entertaining us all in his own inimitable and wonderful fashion at 1pm. And of course, Christmas Day at Arden House. Tom has very kindly agreed to cook that day so we will have a wonderful meal with all the trimmings and I am sure, lots of Christmas elves helping.
Once again, please let us know who will be staying and who will be going out so we can sort numbers. Depending upon numbers, we may be able to host a few family members as well – have a chat with Theresa.
Have a wonderful festive season
Theresa, Judith and Mark
